Tussedemper mx-3 1.6 16v DOHC

ik heb gisteren mijn Tussedemper er tussen uit geslepen en een rechte pijp tussen gelast, maar ik was vandaag aan het opruimen en ik ging dat dempertje opruimen, en ik denk kijk er even in, ik zie een soort van bult in gewoon in het midde van de demper, en die komt een stuk omhoog zodat het de helft van de doorgang blokkeert??? dus er gaat maar 50% doorheen.. is dat normaal bij een tussedemper? En heb ik nu kans dat ie iets feller door trekt omdat ik nu gewoon een pijp er tussen heb zitten die in het midden gewoon even ver open staat als de rest van de pijp?

je hebt een N/A motor he, dus je moet altijd wel wat tegendruk houden in je uitlaatlijn..

die ''bult'' zit er in omdat ze bij de mazda fabriek berekend hebben dat je op die manier een optimale tegendruk houdt in je uitlaat en zo een optimale loop kunnen garanderen van je auto.

wat voor effect het kan hebben op een N/A motor is mij nog niet altijd duidelijk..

heb wel eens gelezen dat je omdat je te weinig tegendruk hebt op de uitlaatkleppen er tijdens de 1e slag ( benzine inspuiten) brandstof kan ontsnappen via de uitlaatklep en je zo een minder optimale verbranding krijgt

Wat houd een N/A motor precies in?

dus een auto die NIET geblazen wordt door turbo of compressor...

dus zoals 99,5% van de club hier

bij een turbo wil je graag zo min mogelijk tegendruk zodat ie sneller op gang komt en ook sneller kan draaien

NA = Normally aspirated or Naturally aspirated engine
Non NA = Force fed aspitation by means of a turbo/ SC or other



Turbulance is right, well nearly...
when youre engine fires it sends a pulse through the exhaust, The faster that this pulse can travel along the exhaust the better. The bigger the pipe the more the pulse is slowed down. what you are actually looking for in a good exhaust set up is Velocity, the speed at which the exhaust gasses can travel down the pipe, Back preasure will only slow down the pulse even more, what you see inside the silencer is actually a bottle neck, this squeezes the gasses increasing the Velocity. Removing the middle silencer will slow the down the velocity and you will loose some torque, and yes Mazda has worked out the correct Gas Velocity for each car. more info on this great topic.....

If you have want to get some velocity back without replacing the middle silencer I would advice to you to buy one of the "katvervangers" wih the small silencers built in like this one: http://www.jeroentje.nl/index.php?page= ... _id=810003

because I am using 3"piping for the turbo, I have my katvervanger for sale for 50 euro if anyone is intrested.

The katvervangers are for the 1.6 and 1.8 aswell as the 2.5

I am sure Jeroen can do something for you mate, I am sure he will be able to sell the lights as they are standard Hella units. Just give him a call or stop for a coffe one day, I am there nearly everyday.................thinking about putting my bed in there hahhahahahhahahahahhahah
